Question: How can I invest in Prosperity REIT?
  Prosperity REIT is listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited under stock code 808. It can be traded on trading day just like any listed equity stocks.
   
Question: How much will the first distribution amount be?
  It is the policy of the Manager to distribute 100% of the distributable income.
   
Question: Do I have to hold onto the units until the date of payment in order to be entitled for distribution?
  Distribution will be paid to unitholders as registered in the unitholder register on the date of book closure.

What is Prosperity REIT's annual financial period?

  From 1 January to 31 December every year.

How frequent is the distribution paid?

 

Prosperity REIT’s initial distribution policy is that two distributions will be made in respect of each year for the six-month periods ending 30 June and 31 December. Distributions will be paid within 120 days of the end of the relevant six-month period.

What is REIT?

 

A real estate investment trust is a collective investment scheme constituted as a unit trust by the Trust Deed that invests in a portfolio of income-generating properties. Rents collected from tenants, less expense are distributed on a regular basis to provide stable yields to unitholders.

I being a retail investor, what is the benefit of investing in REIT to me?

 
Without the huge amount of capital to purchase the physical property, unitholder can still have access to the booming property market through acquisition of REIT units. REIT offers stable returns from the property rentals. On top of distribution payment, investor may enjoy capital gain through unit price increase as well.
